Surf Without the Waves
Location: La Paz Sand Dunes
You don’t have to spend hours of practice and worry about drowning to go surfing in Ilocos! Sandboarding is one of the activities travelers enjoy when in La Paz Sand Dunes. You just need a bit of courage to slide down and not worry about falling. The height of the dunes ranges from 10-30 meters that will surely give you a panoramic view of South China Sea.

Trek to the Milky-White Rock
Location: Kapurpurawan Rock Formation
Prep up your muscles for some physical workout to get a glimpse of the magnificent Kapurpurawan Rock formation! This iconic site is three kilometers from the main highway. Visitors have to go down a flight of stairs and trek towards the rocky coast to reach the rock formation. Upon reaching your destination, you will be rewarded with a dramatic view of Bangui Bay’s crystal blue waters.

Location: Blue Lagoon Beach, Pagudpud
Locally known as Maira-ira Beach, Blue Lagoon Beach is considered as one of the most beautiful beaches of the North. With its bluish waters and fine sand, it could rival the beauty of the famous Boracay. Want to feel some adrenaline rush? Try the zipline at Hannah’s Beach Resort and fly over the Blue Lagoon!

Chase the falls in Pagudpud
Location: Kabigan Falls
Any adventure-lover will take on the challenge of visiting the must see destination in Pagudpud – Kabigan Falls! Be ready to travel on foot and get wet as you have to spend about 30-45 minutes of walking along farmlands and crossing several streams. Afraid of getting a tan? The sun won’t be that much of a problem as trees are lined up along the trail. At approximately 87-ft high, the falls drop into a concave basin where you could reward yourself with a refreshing swim.

Location: Vigan
Vigan is one of the oldest towns in the Philippines and is the finest surviving example of a Spanish Colonial town in Asia. The old-world charm of Vigan makes it one of the most visited cities in the North. Take a stroll along the cobblestone street and discover the historical past of the quaint architectures.
