Batangas: Your Ultimate Beach Getaway
(Jovy Avisado-Estepa/ Aug 10, 2020)
Searching for your next beach escape? Look and travel no further as Batangas is your go-to destination for anything about sands and beaches! We did the research for you and listed down the BBB's (Batangas Best Beaches) that you shouldn’t miss to visit:
Masasa Beach
If you want a serene and quiet getaway, Masasa beach is the right place for you. Having zero resorts in the area, Masasa beach gives out this tranquil atmosphere that you will surely love. Do not forget to climb the famous “mag-asawang bato” (married/couple rocks). If you plan to stay overnight, bring tents with you. A bonfire with friends would be nice too!

Malabrigo Point
Malabrigo Point is known for its medium-sized pebbles that are beautifully displayed on the beach. There is also a stunning lighthouse that you can visit near the area. Make sure to visit Submarine Garden in Malabrigo. The water is crystal clear and you can see the corals even without goggles!
Laiya Beach
A beautiful stretch of white sand will welcome you the moment you step foot on Laiya. Feel free to walk on its powdery white sand and swim in its clear waters. After some beach fun, you might want to eat some delectable Batangueno dishes such as lomi and sinaing na tulingan!
Verde Island (Isla Verde)
Verde Island is an untouched gem of Batangas. If you want to explore a beach destination in its naked glory, this island is for you. Though the sand in the island is neither fine nor white, you’ll be in awe with the blue and clear waters that are home to underwater riches!

Pulo Island (Loren Island)
Pulo or Loren Island is not your any ordinary beach. Though the sand here isn’t white or fine, it has a cove and a small passage that leads to a nearby islet. Experience a total connection to nature with a scenic view of the beach and calm atmosphere.

Fun Fact: The island is said to be owned by Loren Legarda (a Filipino politician who was also a former journalist). Though a private property, tourists are welcome to visit the island for a minimal fee.

Fortune Island
Are you looking for your next great travel photo to share on social media? It’s time for you to visit Fortune Island! The island is becoming a famous spot for couples for their prenup shoots – and we couldn’t agree more. The Grecian columns and ruins at the top of the cliff is a showstopper for anyone who visits the island.
Sombrero Island
If you’re in for anything unique, you must visit Sombrero Island! The island got its name from its distinctive shape that looks exactly like a hat or ‘sombrero’. This secluded beach has white sands and is ideal for snorkeling and diving. You’ll be surprised by just how much underwater spectacles this island has – just be careful with the sharp barnacles in some rocky parts of the beach.

Indeed, there is nothing better than basking in the warm glow of the sun while the sea breeze gently touches your skin. So if you are tired of the hustle and bustle of the city, go on a quick drive to one of these beaches in Batangas!
